Sunday, 9 October, 2022 – Elias is in Naples for a couple days, before going to the coast, to Salerno. The two cities are close enough – an hour by train – that when I looked up things to do in Salerno, the site said to take a day trip to Naples. Elias said, when we talked to him yesterday, that he did not have any expectations for Naples, except that he was going to have Neopolitan pizza.
It appears he did. Today, he said: “Trattoria Castel Nuovo. it’s close to the hostel and gets good reviews. I got the house white, marinated anchovies, and a pizza that has salumi and Italian chilies.”
I looked up the restaurant – Trattoria Castel Nuovo – and it is where I found him earlier today. I mapped it to the hostel where he is staying. I think this is his hostel: Ostello Bello.
