Sunday, 21 August, 2022 – Elias is in Paris. It is almost 10pm there, as I write this. My guess is he and Kelsey and Ian are wandering around tonight, talking and laughing, eating and drinking, enjoying being together again. When I looked up his location, he was in the vicinity of a “landscaped park with extensive lawns” called Champ de Mars.

We got a brief text from Elias:
E: Will be in paris later tonight, staying at a place right on the canal in the 19th arr. pretty close to where I stayed before but this time in the same room as Ian and Kelsey
D: Sounds great. Thanks for the update. I’m sure you’re looking forward to seeing Ian and Kelsey.
Me: Yay! A reunion of the 3 musketeers. I am so glad! Thank you for letting us know. I love you.
E: Yes I am very very excited to see them. Will be with them until at least the 31st.
It feels like a new chapter in his travels, this time with friends. The three of them have spent a lot of time together over the last 4 years. They have been back to Ian’s home in Danville, a few times. The first time, Elias drove back with Ian when DU closed down at the start of the pandemic. Elias was able to stay for several weeks and made to feel like he was family there.
I am excited to hear and see more! I have the address of their next woofing gig so I will post more about that soon, when I get a chance to read about it.
