Monday, 22 August, 2022 – Elias said he would be staying at a place in the 19th arronidissement near where he’d stayed before, and that this new place overlooks the canal. After trying to locate him, I am going to take a guess and say it is possible he’s staying here: St. Christopher’s Inn Paris Canal. Gotta love a place that advertises its Jagerbombs. (Yuck but okay. You’re only 22 once. Thank goodness.)
Here’s Google’s map of the street. The hostel website does not explain the origin of Belushi’s Cafe’s name. (I am dating myself by admitting I immediately thought of John Belushi, of Saturday Night Live fame. Probably not the same Belushi, huh?)

I would like to write more. I was thinking today about how unfair it is that I will worry more about Annika traveling alone in Europe in just a year or so. Elias deserves just as much worry. And Annika has done nothing to merit any more worry. But more on that later.
Today is David’s birthday and we are up late on a school night. I hope Elias is safe and having fun. In that order. (heart emoji)
