Saturday, 10 September, 2022 – I think Elias, Kelsey, and Ian stayed in Birmingham today. When I looked up the address, they were here at this hotel, The Saltley Inn. I thought the mural on the wall of the hotel was interesting, in a creepy sort of way.
I don’t think they are staying in the fancy suburbs tonight. That’s okay – they are together and and Saltley Inn boasts a new beer garden.
Apparently, Birmingham is the second largest city in the UK. I had no idea it was so big. I won’t know until he gets home but if I were visiting Birmingham, I would like to visit The Black Country Living Museum, which is a recreation of Birmingham when it was a booming coal city. But given the price of tickets – 60 pounds for two adults – I don’t expect the threesome decided a stroll through history was worth the expense.
I also would like to see The Library of Birmingham in person. I know, I love libraries already but this one is really famous for its design.
