Travels with E (Day 8 continued)

Tuesday, 2 August, 2022 – It seems all I need to do, in order to keep a journal on a regular basis, is to write about someone else, in this case, my son. It has been a week since he left and I find time every day to think about him, where he is, and want to write about him.

Maybe once this trip is over, writing will be a habit for me and I will do a better job of maintaining this journal. I hope so.

If I am correct, and this is where he is staying, here are some pictures from the area and the hostel.

I did not add it intentionally but I like how the public restrooms are called out on the map as: Public Urinal.
I think this is the skatepark outside the hotel, which you can see in the map closeup.
I think these may be the sort of rooms he is in.
Granted, not fancy but if it’s clean – and the reviews say it is – then it is okay. Nice, even?

Exploring Westerpark

Westerpark is a city park about 7 miles from where E is staying in Ootserpark (East Park). It has walking paths, sculptures and ponds, and is bordered by what look like restaurants and shops. I found a site called Great Runs that mentions Westerpark: https://greatruns.com/amsterdam-westerpark-2/
