Wednesday, 19 October, 2022 – I am pretty sure Elias is still in Milan. He may be leaving Thursday – it is still Wednesday in Hawai’i – but I found him earlier today in Milan. (For the record, I did not text him about the Mr. Dick place. Something tells me Elias does not want to hear me say, “Hey, I found this really funny bakery that specializes in vulva and penis pastries!” LOL, as my daughter would say.)
I had another disconcerting yet typical travel experience that I had forgotten about, but one which I expect Elias has had several times in the last 86 days: I forgot which day of the week it was. I thought it was Thursday and then was pleasantly surprised to realize it was only Wednesday. We leave late on Saturday night, right before midnight, so I have a sort of end date to count our days against. Elias has November 3rd as his going-to-Bangkok date, which is still so far off that it would be easy to lose track of the days of the week.
I cannot be sure, of course, but if history is any indication, Elias found the Central Market (Mercato Centrale) today. It looks really nice, with lots of different food and drink vendors. I hope I am right, because I think he would enjoy wandering around this place.
