Saturday, 24 September, 2022 – Elias is in Vienna, Austria tonight. I am not sure where he is exactly or how long he is staying but he posted several pictures of Prague so I thought I would post those images now. I have reflections (ruminations?) to write about – later, I think. I am not sure what to caption any of these so I am going to leave them for now. I tried to post larger images so I apologize if they’re better now and I did not do it sooner. Or, apologies if these are too big! (Geez, enough with apologies, Kira. Right?)
I saw the picture of the Hotel Ambassador and thought I had posted the wrong image for a Prague gallery. But no, there is a Hotel Ambassador in Prague.
One reflection, before I forget it: when I was traveling in China and Thailand with my friends, we made a bee-line for hotels that were named in English because we knew we could use the bathroom without anyone questioning whether we could be there. And the bathrooms were always cleaner and more spacious than Chinese or Thai hotel bathrooms. We usually looked scraggly, smelled not great, but we were white! So no questions asked. Should I feel bad about that? Maybe a little.
In any case, I would be surprised if Elias thought to exploit the bathroom privileges at the Hotel Ambassador. (The bathrooms are VERY posh, going by the pictures.) But it made for a nice picture.
